For our game project we created the level / environment in Maya and brought it into Gamebryo from there. We created, UV mapped and textured all assets ourselves to ensure they would
be low-poly. For instance, the bed in the bedroom is 950 polys and both staircases and the railings all together are just over 2000 polys.
